I’ve been inspired by Heavitree Stone…
We’re proud to feature here Diana Wackerbarth’s extraordinarily insightful article “Seeing Places”. The realisation that the boundary wall around what is now the University’s Rowancroft Hall, Heavitree, clearly pre-dates any of the early Victorian features there, has led one member of the Quarry Trails steering group to reflect deeply on what this means – a beautiful piece.
Two creative contributions inspired by Heavitree Stone offered by local published poet, Mark Totterdell: “Breccia” and “Heavitree Breccia”.
